Let Me Introduce You

For a while before we got married, Dan was helping drive the church van to a neighborhood near the church to pick up kids and bring them to Awana each Sunday night. Since we've been married, I became his co-pilot on this journey and have enjoyed being around these kids. It has it's challenges but it's been fun to see them so excited to come and waiting in a group to jump on the van when we get there. We have also had a growing group. They used to only need the van, but now they take the van and two cars! It is an extremely diverse neighborhood and we feel like we've taken a trip around the world every Sunday. Let me introduce you to a few of the kids.

The two on the left are new. I can't remember the far left kid's name. The middle one told me yesterday "My name is Immanuel. It means God is with us." The one on the right is Acinde (Sp? Ah-sin-day)

These two are hilarious. They are sisters and have quite the personalities. Dakeria is on the left and Dynasty (more commonly known as "Da-da") is on the right. They love to make up songs on the van ride and sing them quite loudly.

Here's a snapshot of the full van with a mixture of facial expressions.

Here is a not-so-glamorous me and Noelle. She wouldn't take one by herself. She's from Africa and has the best laugh and a fun accent. I tried to capture it in videos but they won't upload for some reason.
