New Years

This. This is why I love New Years. I believe this will be year 22 of ringing in the New Year with a group of amazing people. This was written by my dad to get us ready for this year's celebration in Prattville, AL!

The holidays are coming and it’s time to make plans

For a gathering of tradition for which we’ve all become fans

 

We will welcome the New Year in our hometown of Pratt

It is not known for its size, but you all know where it is at.

 

We will be dancing and laughing and singing a tune

We can’t wait to get started so see you real soon!

 

They will come from the north and they will come from afar

While some fly in a plane, others travel by car

 

The Sanders are coming down I-85

But don’t stop at Auburn, they ain’t taking NO JIVE!!

 

From East Tennessee comes the Hollingsworth clan

I heard me a rumor; Kara’s got her a man!

 

Now three of those kids have married a spouse

And Cory and Lacy have bought a new house!

 

We’ll all read the adventures of Taylor and ‘Liz

‘cause cruisin’ to Africa is their new family ‘biz!

 

And how did Brooke find someone patient as Dan?

Just what we need, he’s our own policeman!

 

Travis and Troy are breaking from school

To join our big party that they plan to rule!

 

Sgt. Mitchell, Kara and TJ will be looking for fun

By the end of ’11 they will be 21!

 

And who can forget Jake with all of this hype?

We hope to connect through the magic of Skype!

 

Now Jan’s been real busy until late in the night

Making sure the décor is perfectly right

It will be a tight fit but it’s our slice of heaven

To party it up and launch TWO-THOUSAND-ELEVEN!
